We do not publish a fixed price list, and here is the real reason why: no two gardens are the same, and a price that is fair on one would be wrong on the next. What we can do is be straight about how the price is worked out, so there are no surprises.
Priced per job, not by the hour
We price the whole job, not your gardener's time by the hour. You get a set price up front, agreed before we start, rather than watching the clock and hoping it does not run over. It also means we are paid to get the work done properly, not to take our time over it.
Two ways to book, and one is cheaper per visit
A one-off visit is a single job, priced on its own: a clearance, a hedge, a tidy before you sell or let. A regular plan is the same crew coming back on a rhythm through the season, and it works out cheaper per visit, because a garden kept on top of is quicker to look after than one rescued twice a year.
What actually changes the price
A few things move a quote up or down. Once you know them, you can usually guess roughly where a job sits before we even get there:
- How big the garden, or the job, actually is
- How easy it is to get to, and to get the waste back out
- How overgrown it has got, and whether it is a first cut-back or ongoing upkeep
- How much green waste there is to clear and take away
- How often you want us: a one-off, or a regular plan
Why an honest quote needs eyes on the garden
We could throw a number at you over the phone, but it would either be too high to be fair or too low to honour, and neither helps you. A quick look, in person or from a couple of photos on WhatsApp, means the price we give is the price you pay. Quotes are free, and there is no pushy upsell after.

How much does a gardener cost?
A gardener's cost depends on the garden, not a set hourly rate. We price each job after seeing it, based on size, access, how overgrown it is and how often you want us. A regular plan works out cheaper per visit than a one-off, and every quote is free.
How much does garden clearance cost?
Garden clearance is priced on how big and how overgrown the space is, plus how much green waste there is to remove and cart away. A light tidy and a full jungle clearance are very different jobs, so we quote each one free after a quick look.
What does a gardener cost per hour?
We do not charge a flat hourly rate, because an hour on a small tidy garden and an hour hacking through brambles are not the same value. We price the whole job up front once we have seen it, so you know the cost before we start, not after.
How much does hedge cutting cost?
Hedge cutting is priced on the size of the hedge, its height, how much needs taking off and how much clearing up there is afterwards. A quick top and a full reduction with all the waste removed are different jobs, so we quote each hedge free.
How much is grass cutting?
Grass cutting is priced on the size of the lawn and whether it is a one-off or a regular visit. Regular and plan customers pay less per cut than one-off call-outs, because the lawn never gets away. We quote it free after seeing the garden.
