Moss, weeds or a lawn that never thickens up need more than another cut. See our dedicated lawn treatment service.

Sound Familiar?

Signs it's time.

  • The grass gets away from you between cuts and every mow feels like a battle
  • The edges have lost their line and the lawn looks scruffy even when it is short
  • Moss and bare patches are winning more ground each year
  • Mowing keeps eating your only free day of the week
  • You cut it every week and it still never looks thick or healthy
  • You are away or busy often enough that the lawn only gets cut when it is already overdue

Round here

Lincoln lawns range from tight terrace strips off the High Street to big open plots out in villages like Nettleham and Waddington, and plenty sit on heavier ground that holds the wet. That is why we cut to the right height for the season rather than scalping to a number, and why we will tell you if a lawn needs a break rather than another cut. Mowing keeps a lawn looking tidy week to week, but it is not the whole story: a lawn that is thin, mossy or waterlogged needs proper feeding, weed control and aeration to actually improve, not just another cut, which is why we run those as a separate lawn treatment service alongside regular mowing.

FAQs

Questions, answered.

How much does lawn mowing cost in Lincoln?

We price lawn mowing on the size of the lawn and whether it is a one-off or a regular visit. Quotes are free. Regular and monthly customers pay less per cut than one-off call-outs.

How often should my lawn be mown?

Through the growing season, roughly every one to two weeks keeps a lawn healthy and stops it getting away from you. We cut to the right height for the time of year and taper off over winter.

Do you use electric mowers?

Yes, every lawn is cut with battery-powered electric mowers. No petrol fumes, less noise, and a clean, even finish with the clippings cleared or mulched.

Is lawn care the same as lawn treatment?

Not quite. Lawn care and mowing is the regular cutting, edging and general upkeep that keeps a lawn looking tidy. Lawn treatment is the feeding, weed control, scarification and aeration that actually improves the grass underneath. Most lawns benefit from both, and we offer them as separate services so you only book what your lawn actually needs.

Why does my lawn still look patchy even though it's mown regularly?

Mowing keeps growth in check but does not feed the lawn, clear thatch or relieve compaction, which are usually what is actually holding a patchy lawn back. If regular mowing alone is not fixing it, our lawn treatment service is the next step.

Do you cut the lawn too short?

No. We cut to the right height for the season and the grass type rather than scalping to a fixed number. Cutting too short weakens grass and lets moss and weeds in, so we would rather leave it a touch longer than damage the lawn for the sake of a tidier-looking cut that week.

Is there a lawn mowing service near me in Lincoln?

Yes. We cover Lincoln, Bracebridge Heath and the LN1 to LN6 villages, out to roughly a 60 to 75 minute radius across Lincolnshire. If you are near the edge of that, just ask. Quotes are free.
